Privacy Policy

Effective date: Jan 29, 2026
Last updated: Jan 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Prompt01 (“Prompt01,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you access or use our websites, applications, dashboards, APIs, browser/IDE extensions, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This policy is written in general terms because the Services may evolve over time. If we add or change features, this policy applies to the new features unless we say otherwise.

If you have questions, contact [email protected].

Important note about work/provisioned accounts

In some cases, you may use the Services through an account provided or managed by an organization (for example, an employer). In those situations, that organization may control the account and certain settings, and their policies may also apply. We may process account data for those offerings under the relevant customer or organizational agreements.

1) Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information.

A. Information you provide to us directly

Depending on how you use the Services, you may provide:

Account information: such as name, email address, login identifiers, authentication factors, and account preferences.

Profile and settings: such as avatar, display name, language/locale, notification preferences, and other configuration choices.

Content you submit: such as prompts, prompt versions, tags, notes, comments, files, links, metadata, or other materials you create, upload, or store in the Services (collectively, “User Content”). If you include personal information in User Content, we will process that information as part of providing the Services.

Communications: information you share with us when you contact support or otherwise communicate with us, including message contents and attachments.

Billing information: if you purchase a paid plan, we (and our payment processors) process billing details. We typically receive limited billing-related information such as subscription status, customer IDs, and transaction metadata; payment card details are generally processed directly by our payment processor.

B. Information we collect automatically when you use the Services

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:

Device and browser information: such as device type, operating system, browser type, and settings.

Log and diagnostic information: such as IP address, timestamps, pages/screens visited, error logs, performance data, and other diagnostic information.

Usage information: such as feature interactions (e.g., prompt views/exports/copies, link shares, searches, clicks), and other activity that helps us understand how the Services are used.

Approximate location information: we may infer a general location (e.g., city/region) from IP address for security, fraud prevention, and performance.

Cookies and similar technologies: we may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, keep you signed in, improve performance, and measure and improve our marketing and product experience (see “Cookies & Similar Technologies” below).

C. Information we may receive from others

We may receive information from:

Third-party services you connect: if you choose to connect third-party services (for example, identity providers or other integrations), we may receive information as permitted by your settings and the third party’s policies.

Service providers: such as payment processors, infrastructure providers, and analytics providers who help us run the Services.

D. Sensitive information and children

Please do not submit sensitive information to the Services unless it is necessary and you have the right to do so (for example, government IDs, health information, biometric identifiers, or information about children).

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected].

E. Information we generally do not intentionally collect

We do not intend to collect “sensitive” categories of personal information unless you choose to provide them (for example, by including them in prompts, files, or messages). If you believe you have provided sensitive information to us unintentionally, contact [email protected] and we will work with you to address it, subject to legal and operational requirements.

2) How we use information

We use information for purposes such as:

Providing and operating the Services: including authentication, saving and syncing content, enabling sharing links, and delivering requested features.

Improving and developing the Services: including understanding usage patterns, troubleshooting issues, testing changes, and building new features.

Safety, security, and fraud prevention: including detecting suspicious activity, protecting accounts, preventing abuse, and enforcing our terms and policies.

Customer support: including responding to inquiries and resolving problems.

Billing and account administration: including processing payments, managing subscriptions, sending receipts and billing notices, and preventing fraud related to payments.

Communications: including service announcements, administrative messages, and updates about changes to the Services or policies.

Marketing (where permitted): including promoting the Services and measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Legal compliance: including complying with applicable laws and responding to lawful requests.

3) How we share information

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. We may share information in the following situations:

A. Service providers and processors

We share information with vendors who help us provide the Services (for example, hosting, storage, authentication, email delivery, analytics, customer support tools, and payment processing). They are permitted to process information on our behalf only for the purposes we describe and consistent with applicable agreements.

B. Third-party services you choose to use

If you connect Third-Party Services (such as integrations, external providers, or extensions), we may share information as necessary to enable that connection and as directed by your actions and settings. Your use of Third-Party Services is subject to their terms and privacy policies.

C. Public sharing and collaboration

Some features may allow you to share content with others (for example, shareable links or collaborative workflows). If you make content public or share it with others, the recipients may be able to view, copy, or further share that content. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

D. Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.

E. Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental requests;
  • protect the rights, safety, and security of Prompt01, our users, or the public; or
  • investigate or help prevent fraud, security, or technical issues.

4) Cookies & similar technologies

We (and our service providers) may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep you signed in and help the Services function;
  • remember settings and preferences;
  • understand how the Services are used and improve performance;
  • measure and improve marketing (where enabled).

You can typically manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features of the Services may not work properly if you disable certain cookies or similar technologies.

5) Analytics and advertising tools

We may use analytics and measurement tools to understand how the Services are used and to improve them. Depending on configuration, these tools may collect information like device identifiers, cookie identifiers, and events related to page views or feature usage.

We may also use marketing pixels or advertising measurement tools where enabled. You can often opt out or limit these through your device and browser settings, and in some cases through provider-specific controls.

6) Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the Services you requested;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce agreements; and
  • maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the Services.

Retention can vary depending on the type of data (for example, account data, billing records, security logs, and backups).

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights related to your personal information, such as:

  • accessing, correcting, or deleting certain information;
  • objecting to or restricting certain processing; and
  • requesting a copy/portability of certain information.

You may be able to manage some of these settings directly in the Services. To make a request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9) International data transfers

The Services may be hosted and processed in countries other than where you live. When we transfer information internationally, we take steps designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

10) Third-party links and content

The Services may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their policies.

11) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, if the changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Services or by other means.

12) Contact us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests related to privacy, contact: [email protected].
